Welcome to the football segment, or

sideline effects

Sideline Effects. Whether reviewing this week’s games, players, coaches, teams, or results. With commentary and the occasional tidbit included from which you may learn something new about the history of the sport, we will try to do that.

Let’s be transparent here and let you know upfront host Mike Lips is not a professional gambler. Mike does not offer gambling advice or services and does not claim to. He only believes that he is a better game-picker than many of you and wants to put you to the test.

Our weekly picks segment is hosted by Mike during the National Football League season, while we determine our format for the playoffs. Mike investigates a few of the historical season matchups along with looks into his own crystal ball now and then.

Our weekly review segment following Monday night’s game will look at the weekly results and where and if Mike went wrong. The games are recorded into history and usually rustle up more glimpses into football’s archives.

Like our baseball segment Far End of the Bench, we have fun with the sport and may look at things a little differently.
